Volunteer For a Day and get a Free Disney Ticket

Starting this coming January 1, 2010, Disney is offering a nifty "volunteer a day of service and get a free one day admission to Walt Disney World or Disneyland." Here's the deal; Disney has partnered with a bunch of volunteer-powered charitees. Go to this special Web site here, and sign up for a day of volunteer work, and in return, Disney will send you a free ticket. Disney's goal is to inspire one million people to volunteer for one million days of service. First, sign up here, then perform the day of service, and then, once Disney has received verification from the service organization, they'll send you a free single-day admission ticket for either Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

There are some caveats (naturally!). The program doesn't start until January 1, 2010 and continues until tickets are distributed or until December 15, 2010, whichever occurs first. In other words, don't wait until the last minute to sign up. I notice too that there's a household limit of eight members per household. You'll have to wait until January to even search for a charity that's participating (there's a link on the site to search), but you can sign up now here to receive updates, and reminders via email so that come January 2010, you don't forget.
